I have deleted three different paragraphs that I've written in the last ten minutes. I know I want to write something, but I can't really access the words to express any of the ideas I have floating around in my head right now.
I think it might be because spring break starts in two days. My brain is on vacation, no matter how many times I tell it to get its act together. My lessons this past week have sucked, and that takes talent because I've shown a movie for three of them.
I have many a plan for spring break. I'm going to paint walls, have a clean house and take Chewie all types of fun places. I also need to do a huge pile of marking. I've procrastinated marking many things, which was poor planning on my part. My "To-Do" list is very long. That being said, I have a feeling that the first day I spend off of school will be spent in bed, sleeping. I read somewhere recently that an average human spends 25 years of their life sleeping. I think I'll probably have slept for about 40 when everything is all said and done. The funny thing is, I don't feel like I've wasted anything. Sleep and I have a strong relationship that will eventually be 40 years in the making. I love sleep, and sleep loves me.
I'm a teacher who loves to travel. I intend to primarily speak to these two passions. It is also very likely that I will write about the silly things that cross my mind on a daily basis.

The Aftereffects of my Napping Addiction
Three hour naps are not good for my social life.
I'm supposed to be at an authors group at this very moment. I know what you are thinking, "authors? When did she become an author?" Well, mostly I go for the tea and company. I have always loved to write, hence why I keep this silly little blog going. Who doesn't have a half finished tome saved somewhere on their computer? I have a few, to be honest. They are located under funny little filenames like "I'm writing a book!" or "Stuff I do instead of homework!" or "This is rubbish!"...
Back to the whole issue of napping though. I was exhausticated (that isn't a real word) at work today and when I got home I climbed into bed and immediately fell into a comatose state until 6:58pm, two minutes before I was due to arrive at said writers group. I then was famished as napping is hard work and needed to eat dinner. At this very moment I'm supposed to be lesson planning for my very full day tomorrow. I need to make a priority list, and force myself to do only the things at the very top of said list. That way I won't end up distracted on social media and stay up late AGAIN.
The list will go as follows:
1. Get off of blog
2. Go get school bag from living room
3. Open math book
4. Stare at math book for 15 minutes
5. Write math lesson
6. Take out Socials work
7. Write Socials lesson in 1/3rd of the time it takes to write math lesson
8. Panic that I am forgetting something
9. Give up on remembering what I've forgotten
10. Read and then sleep

Captains Log
Captains Log:
The crew has abandoned me. They say that they will be back. Brother said "they had to" and Dad said something about "work". But I know the truth, they are saving themselves. I've officially been placed in Quarantine. I know the signs.
Strange things have been happening to me. Vivid dreams I cannot explain. My only thought is they must be induced by the consumption of NyQuil. I would give it up, but I'm afraid that the little green capsules are my only solace.
Who knows how long I'll be here? Who knows who will read this? I imagine my bones being discovered millions of years from now, illuminated by the faint glow of my laptop.
Mac's have really great battery life.
I suppose I should not despair. Perhaps the worst is behind me. I do seem to be capable of breathing out of my left nostril. This could be a sign of recovery.
I must resolve to keep going. As they say "drink lots of fluids, and get plenty of rest"... I'll try. If not, this Captain will go down with its ship.

This post is perfectly useless
It is always difficult for me to monitor my napping. The result of having a weakness for day sleeping is being up until one am. Like right now, for example.
I am watching the series Hell on Wheels though. And I don't have to wake up at any particular time tomorrow either so it isn't a worse case scenario sort of night.
I am glad I didn't live in the wild west. In this particular episode of Hell on Wheels a man just repeatedly stabbed another man behind a large pile of garbage. Can't say the man on the receiving end of the shanking didn't deserve it though. The characters on the show don't exactly exemplify good decision making.
I just don't think I would have survived the times. Unless I was some kind of lady of privilege. Of course, if that was the case I would be bored tearless. Im not one for just sitting around a tea parlor all day. Though I do like tea...
Well, this post is just ridiculous. I have said nothing of worth. Except if you are reading this specifically because you are trying to decide whether or not Hell on Wheels is a good television show and worth watching.
In that case, the post still doesn't really say anything of merit.

Goodnight Neverland
It was bittersweet seeing all the first years around campus today. I was there for class while they were there for orientation. Their post secondary education (for the most part) is just starting. Mine ends a little bit more with each day. I was sad.
But then I stole a popsicle meant for the first years and I felt immediately better.
Tomorrow is Friday, which is delightful news as that means my first week is over! Done! Finished! Only five weeks left of class after that and then I begin practicum. It blows my mind how soon we are finished.
I just watched The Borrowers movie and completed two paintings. Recently, for some unknown reason--I've been fixated on tiny people that live in walls. I actually spent one night looking up movies and books that revolved around gnomes or fairies or just regular old little people. I found that Terry Pratchett wrote a series about gnomes that is actually quite funny. That got me on the audiobook kick I was writing about earlier.
Anyways, not really sure what the obsession with tiny people is about. Other than, perhaps that I DO BELIEVE IN FAIRIES!
It is important to me that I get as many Peter Pan references into this blog as possible. I warn you, don't expect subtlety.
I marathon napped today, which was probably a horrible idea because now it is almost 11:30 at night and I'm just kind of laying here contemplating what the next couple of hours looks like for me. I'm hoping soon a wave of exhaustion will take hold and I will manage to get a good nights rest. I hope, but do not expect this to be the outcome.
TOMORROW is a WONDERFUL day because tomorrow the plans happen for DISNEYLAND! I will probably write a post tomorrow night outlining the finer details of our booking. Like, where we are staying. And when we are flying. And how I have plans of chasing Captain Hook until he takes a GD picture with me! I am a tiny bit bitter about this picture business because when I was there last (almost 10 years ago now) he ran away from me and I neither got a picture OR an autograph.
I suppose I have nothing else to report. Other than the fact that I hope to get my practicum placement soon so I can begin to plan lessons and get my head wrapped around the age group that I will be assigned.
But that is about it. Goodnight faithful readers!

2am...
I suppose this is a lesson that if I am not spending an exuberant amount of my energy resource during the day (like when I'm teaching) napping for three hours is a bad choice. When I'm working at a school I can nap for a bunch of hours after I arrive home and still be able to get a solid 7 hours of sleep that night. Apparently taking pictures does not require the same amount of energy as 24 twelve year olds. Go figure.
So what to do at two. Well, I've exhausted my daily etsy exploration as well as spammed Facebook enough to sufficiently annoy all my friends. Nothing new on pinterest, nothing exciting in terms of tv (I've never been one for infomercials) and every time I read I feel like I get tired enough to sleep. But then I end up going back to my cell phone and spin the whole process over because hey, maybe something changed in the last 15 minutes.
In other news I dropped my cards off at merridale cidery. Then I wandered around the little seaside village and chatted with a shop and a gallery owner. I am going back down tomorrow (which is actually today) to show them some samples.
I suppose napping tomorrow would be a very bad idea because Monday is Seattle day and I need my rest for the shopping marathon. Must be in peak physical condition for such a venture.
It's funny, no one has read anything on here for like... 4 days, yet I keep posting. It does stave off the bored and I do think I'm getting sleepier.
Tomorrow I will be sharing information on another local photographer who is very talented. So stay tuned my mon existent followers, stay tuned.
